5 RULES FOR
YOUR CREDIT

Smart Credit
Here are 5 helpful rules for you to control your Credit with our Smart Credit Report™ system:
RULE #1: Control your credit, identity and finances, with a Button!
  • Use the Smart Action™ buttons to do things like fixing credit report errors, stopping identity theft or asking for a better interest rate. These actions go directly to the source, generally your creditors.  We communicate electronically with most financial institutions, banks and collection agencies in the United States. Our system is fast and effective.
  • Use our applications to simplify things. For example, our Jean Chatzky Score Builder app is a personalized program with great videos helping you understand which buttons to push to achieve better credit in 120 days.
RULE #2: Keep an eye on your credit scores.
  • We encourage you to know every aspect of your credit scores. There are several of them. With Smart Credit you get your credit score, auto score, insurance score and even your employment score.  Each score is calculated differently depending on what you are applying for.  Nowadays, 50% of employers are judging you based upon your credit report.
  • Keep your credit scores as good as they can be. One day you will be judged on them. Check them before you apply for new credit, get a car or look for a job.
RULE #3: Look at every alert we send you.
  • You will get alerts when your credit report updates or change, when your identity is used for new applications and when your creditor responds to your action. Examine each of them carefully to ensure they are accurate. Use our Smart Action button to correct errors or stop identity theft.
RULE #4: Activate your Rapid Response
  • Activating your Rapid Response will put your credit and identity alerts right on your mobile phone. When you get an alert to your phone, make sure it is correct. If not, the alert will have our Smart Action button embedded. This allows you to stop identity theft by simply pushing a button, right on your mobile phone, without the need to log in.
RULE #5: Log in often
  • Be proactive! Use Smart Credit to ensure your credit is the best it can be. To do this, we recommend you log in at least once a month and do a full update. This will update your credit report and all your scores.
